EU Business Hub, a business cooperation programme that connects European and Japanese companies active in the fields of digital solutions and green / low-carbon technologies, will participate in SMART ENERGY WEEK / GX Management Week, one of the world’s largest comprehensive exhibitions for new energy, as the second business mission bringing European companies to Japan. In collaboration with the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, more than 50 European companies will exhibit under the “EU Green Transition Pavilion” from Wednesday, 19 February to Friday, 21 February 2025.

In addition, on Tuesday, 18 February, the day before the exhibition opens, a kickoff matching event entitled “EU-Japan Green Transition - Business Matching” will be held at SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA. As a venue to promote Japan-Europe business partnerships aimed at open innovation and the creation of new business opportunities, the event will offer a comprehensive programme centered on 30-minute face-to-face meetings, similar to the onsite meeting sessions at the pavilion, as well as pitch sessions and networking opportunities, enabling participants to deepen exchanges with one another.

During the first business mission, held in December 2024, matching events between 40 European companies and Japanese companies were organized at SEMICON Japan 2024, one of Japan’s largest exhibitions in the semiconductor sector. In this second business mission, European companies with innovative technologies in the green and low-carbon technology sector will exhibit in Japan, with the aim of building long-term and strategic partnerships with Japanese companies through business meetings. Over the four years through 2027, the EU Business Hub plans to organize a total of 10 business missions in the fields of digital solutions and green / low-carbon technologies.

About the Second Business Mission: “EU Business Hub @ SMART ENERGY WEEK / GX Management Week”

As part of the second business mission, more than 50 leading European companies in the environmental and energy sectors, including those specializing in electrolyser technology, nano-coating technology, and blockchain technology, will exhibit at SMART ENERGY WEEK / GX Management Week, to be held from Wednesday, 19 February to Friday, 21 February 2025. Furthermore, on Tuesday, 18 February, the day before the exhibition, an onsite business matching event in Tokyo, “EU-Japan Green Transition - Business Matching,” will also be आयोजित as a kickoff event for the pavilion exhibition.

To support efficient business matching with European companies, a dedicated online platform has been introduced.

By registering your company profile in advance, you will be able to browse detailed information on the participating European companies. In addition, by using the platform’s chat function and online pre-events to contact companies of interest in advance, you can arrange meetings smoothly and maintain ongoing communication both before and after their visit to Japan.
