The EU Business Hub is an EU-funded initiative launched in 2024 to promote business cooperation between European and Japanese companies, and this business mission marks its second participation in SEMICON Japan. Leading European innovators will showcase their expertise in fields such as process equipment (etching, lithography, plasma, printing), inspection and metrology equipment (X-ray, particle detection, metrology), components and accessories (RF transistors, piezo actuators, furnace components), advanced substrates and materials (high-purity wafers, specialty glass), as well as simulation and yield management software.

Japan is home to world-leading semiconductor and manufacturing companies, supported by strong government backing and major industry investment. SEMICON Japan serves as a strategic platform for fostering international partnerships. ■Overview of the EU Pavilion @ SEMICON Japan 2025

■Strategic Business Matching

In cooperation with JETRO and the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation (EJC), a joint matching event will be held on 16 December, the second day of the business mission, at the global innovation hub SAKURA DEEPTECH SHIBUYA. Japanese local governments and EU member states will take part, and activities such as reverse pitches are also planned.

The EU Business Hub is a business matching initiative led by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan. It aims to enhance the presence of European companies in Japan and promote their entry into the Japanese market and collaboration with Japanese companies, particularly in the fields of digital solutions and green and low-carbon technologies.
